Many companies are finding new value in bringing employees closer together not just through shared meals, but by sharing an activity and experience.

Recent Example: Team Gathering with 26 Members from a Japanese Company The other day, we welcomed a group of 26 employees from a Japanese company in Tokyo. With the goal of fostering connections across departments, they chose Sushi Academy Ginza as the venue for their corporate gathering.

On the day of the event, everyone put on traditional sushi chef-style hats, creating the atmosphere of an authentic sushi-making experience. With fresh fish and rice already prepared on the tables, our instructors began the demonstration. What started with a bit of nervousness soon turned into smiles and laughter as participants got into the rhythm of making sushi together.

It's harder than I thought!” “Mine doesn’t quite keep its shape,” participants laughed as they compared their sushi with one another. Before long, conversations flowed naturally across departments and job titles.

The room was filled with the aroma of vinegared rice and the sound of laughter, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere throughout. Watching everyone grow closer through the shared experience of making sushi was a joy for us as staff as well.
