After making sushi, take a little stroll around Ginza.

The fun doesn't end when the lesson is over.

At Sushi Academy Ginza – Experience Lesson & Dining Studio, guests from around the world enjoy the hands-on experience of making sushi. We often hear comments like, "The ingredients were so fresh and delicious!" or "It was my first time making sushi, but it turned out better than I expected!"Seeing those smiles and moments of surprise brings us joy as instructors, too.

And just beyond the classroom, Ginza offers even more to enjoy — a neighborhood full of charm, surprises, and memorable discoveries that keep the experience going.

A delightful surprise just steps away from the studio.

One day after a lesson, I was walking near the studio when something unusual caught my eye — a vending machine.Inside it? Sushi-themed T-shirts, with rows of classic toppings like tuna, squid, sea urchin, and anago (saltwater eel) printed in a playful design. The price? 3,990 yen.

While still basking in the afterglow of the sushi experience, I stumbled upon a "sushi T-shirt."It might have been a small coincidence, but Ginza is full of delightful surprises like this — playful touches of Japanese culture in unexpected places.

People often associate Ginza with high-end boutiques and a certain formality, but the truth is, the area has plenty of humor and charm, too.Just walking through the neighborhood can lead to fun discoveries you never saw coming.

Discover sushi and the city, side by side.
